I am a research scientist in the Scientific Computation Research Center (SCOREC) at RPI, working with prof. Mark Shephard on mesh adaptation and mesh curving. Prior to that I was a post-doc at the Courant Institute working with Robert Kohn and Denis Zorin on geometry/topology optimization. I did my PhD in Mechanical Engineeirng and Applied Mechanics at the University of Pennsylvania working with Prof. Pedro Ponte Castañeda. I have a BSc dgree in Mechanical Engineering and Physics from Sharif University of Technology in Tehran, Iran.
